Client and Product Testimonial Pro also comes with a front end submission form to allow your customers to submit reviews of your services or products. This will allow you to organically grow your testimonial base to have a wide range of reviews. After a new testimonial is submitted, you’ll be able to review and edit the testimonial before anything is published to your site from the admin dashboard. You also have full control over what fields are visible to the user when submitting testimonials.

To access the submission form in the shortcode generator, you’ll want to head into any page or post. On the page/post edit screen, next to the ‘Add Media’ button you’ll find a new button ‘Add Testimonial‘. Click that to bring up the ‘Testimonial Shortcode Generator’ modal.

The last, and default selected, option is the ‘Testimonial Submission Form‘. You can go through each of the shortcode settings and adjust them as needed. Once you’ve gone through and adjusted the parameters to your liking, you can click the blue ‘Insert Shortcode’ button at the bottom of the modal to insert the shortcode where needed.

You can also copy the shortcode and use it in template files or anywhere else in your themes.

Shortcode Parameters

Hide
Pass in a string of fields that want excluded from the front end submission form. Separate each field by a comma (,). See field names below.

Hide-able Fields

User Image: To hide the user image field, and to prevent users from applying a testimonial profile photo, use ‘user_image’.

Product/Client Dropdown: To hide the client/product dropdown field, use ‘tax’.

Website URL field: To hide the website field and to prevent users from submitting website URLs with testimonials, use ‘website’.

Testimonial Field: To hide entire testimonial content field, use ‘testimonial’. This can be used to allow users to submit just star rating testimonials for products or clients without any text.

Note: To hide the star rating field and to prevent users from leaving star ratings, head into the plugin Settings Page and toggle ‘Star Ratings‘ to ‘disabled‘.
