Testimonial Fade Slider Shortcode
You can display a simple fade slider of all of your testimonials, or only a specific set of product or client testimonials of your choosing. The basic usage of the shortcode doesn’t accept any parameters, but using the shortcode generator you can easily assign parameters in just a few clicks.
To access the fade slider shortcode generator, you’ll want to head into any page or post. On the page/post edit screen, next to the ‘Add Media’ button you’ll find a new button ‘Add Testimonial‘. Click that to bring up the ‘Testimonial Shortcode Generator’ modal.
The first, and default selected, option is the ‘Fade Slider‘. You can go through each of the shortcode settings and adjust them as needed. Once you’ve gone through and adjusted the parameters to your liking, you can click the blue ‘Insert Shortcode’ button at the bottom of the modal to insert the shortcode where needed.
You can also copy the shortcode and use it in template files or anywhere else in your themes.

Shortcode Parameters
Clients/Products
Depending on which type of testimonial you are displaying on your site, you will either see Clients or Products as the first parameter. You can select ‘All Clients/Products’ to display a fade slider of all of your testimonials, or go through and check off which testimonials you would like to display. If left blank, all clients/product testimonials will be displayed.
Automatic
The automatic toggle sets whether or not the fade slider should transition between testimonials automatically or not.
Duration
The duration toggle allows you to set the duration each testimonial will be displayed to the user before transitioning to the next slide. You can adjust the duration higher or lower as needed. This setting has no effect if the ‘automatic’ setting is set to ‘No’. (Min: 1, Max: 100)
Transition
The transition toggle allows you to adjust the transition of the fade slider. You can set the fade slider to fade or the slide.
Display Controls
The display controls toggle lets you decide whether or not the controls should be displayed for this fade slider. You should always display the controls unless you’ve set the slider to automatic with a reasonable duration set so users know multiple testimonials exist in the slider.

Testimonial Full Width Shortcode
You can display a full width testimonial which extends 100% of the parent container that it’s in. The full width testimonial shortcode displays a single testimonial, but will be a different testimonial on each page load depending on the settings you choose. If you need to display more than one testimonial at a time, see the ‘List Shortcode‘.

Testimonial(s)/Client(s) to Display
You can select any number of testimonials to display in relation to a specific product or client (depending on which type of testimonial you have set in the settings). Leaving this field blank will display all of the testimonials that exist on your site, or you can go through and select any combination of testimonials.
Image Border Radius
You can set the border radius for each of the testimonial images displayed in the full width section.
Grayscale Images
Set the grayscale of each of the images in the full width tesitmonial. If the image is set to grayscale, the image will fade into color on hover with a smooth transition.

Testimonial Grid Shortcode
Using the Grid Shortcode you can quickly and easily generate a grid of testimonials to display on your site. Each of the items in the grid is a separate testimonial, and displays a small excerpt on hover. When clicked, the testimonial is displayed in full in a new lightbox popup.
To access the testimonial grid in the shortcode generator, you’ll want to head into any page or post. On the page/post edit screen, next to the ‘Add Media’ button you’ll find a new button ‘Add Testimonial‘. Click that to bring up the ‘Testimonial Shortcode Generator’ modal.
The third selection in the shortcode generator is the ‘Grid‘. Click that and proceed through each of the shortcode settings and adjust them as needed. Once you’ve gone through and adjusted the parameters to your liking, you can click the blue ‘Insert Shortcode’ button at the bottom of the modal to insert the shortcode where needed.

Settings Page Adjustments
Grid Image Size
Remember that on the settings page you can adjust the width of the grid images. If you adjust the grid image sizes you should always regenerate your thumbnails using a plugin such as, Regenerate Thumbnails by Viper007Bond.
Grid Excerpt Length
Also found on the settings page you have the option to adjust the length of the grid excerpts. The setting on the option page adjusts how many words will be displayed on the overlay of the grid. If out of the box the excerpt doesn’t suit your needs, feel free to increase or decrease the length as you see fit.

Shortcode Parameters

Main Font Color
The main font color is the primary color of the testimonial. This is the color of the testimonial content. Keep in mind the testimonial is overlaid on a darker background, so you should use a color with decent a contrast so the testimonial is readable.
Secondary Font Color
The secondary font color is the color of the persons name of the overlaid text on hover.

Columns
Split this list into a responsive grid with a set number of columns of your choosing. By default the testimonial list will display in a single column, but you can set the columns anywhere between 1 and 4. (min: 1, max: 4)
Limit
Limit the number of testimonials that are displayed in the given list. If you want all testimonials to be displayed, set the limit to -1.
Image Border Radius
You can set the border radius for each of the testimonial images displayed in the full width section.

Testimonial Thumbnail Slider Shortcode
Using the Testimonial Thumbnail Slider Shortcode you can easily generate an attractive slider to use anywhere on your site. The thumbnail slider differs from the fade slider in that each testimonial will display a small thumbnail of the user image below, with one testimonial displayed above. Users can click the thumbnails to display the selected users testimonial.
To access the testimonial thumbnail slider in the shortcode generator, you’ll want to head into any page or post. On the page/post edit screen, next to the ‘Add Media’ button you’ll find a new button ‘Add Testimonial‘. Click that to bring up the ‘Testimonial Shortcode Generator’ modal.
The fifth selection in the shortcode generator is ‘Thumbnail Slider‘. Click that and proceed through each of the shortcode settings and adjust them as needed. Once you’ve gone through and adjusted the parameters to your liking, you can click the blue ‘Insert Shortcode’ button at the bottom of the modal to insert the shortcode where needed.

Limit
Limit the number of testimonials that are displayed in the given list. If you want all testimonials to be displayed, set the limit to -1.
Transition Effect
You can set the type of transition that the slider should use.
Automatic Transtition
Set the duration that each testimonial should be displayed before transitioning to the next one. You can set this to 0 to disable automatic transitions on the testimonial thumbnail slider.
Testimonial Location
Using this field you can set the testimonials to either display Above or Below the thumbnails.
Color Overlay
This is the color that will overlay on top of each image. This is sort of an accent color that can be used to accentuate your site or brands colors.

Testimonial Submission Form Shortcode
Client and Product Testimonial Pro also comes with a front end submission form to allow your customers to submit reviews of your services or products. This will allow you to organically grow your testimonial base to have a wide range of reviews. After a new testimonial is submitted, you’ll be able to review and edit the testimonial before anything is published to your site from the admin dashboard. You also have full control over what fields are visible to the user when submitting testimonials.
To access the submission form in the shortcode generator, you’ll want to head into any page or post. On the page/post edit screen, next to the ‘Add Media’ button you’ll find a new button ‘Add Testimonial‘. Click that to bring up the ‘Testimonial Shortcode Generator’ modal.

Shortcode Parameters
Hide
Pass in a string of fields that want excluded from the front end submission form. Separate each field by a comma (,). See field names below.
Hide-able Fields
- User Image: To hide the user image field, and to prevent users from applying a testimonial profile photo, use ‘user_image’.
- Product/Client Dropdown: To hide the client/product dropdown field, use ‘tax’.
- Website URL field: To hide the website field and to prevent users from submitting website URLs with testimonials, use ‘website’.
- Testimonial Field: To hide entire testimonial content field, use ‘testimonial’. This can be used to allow users to submit just star rating testimonials for products or clients without any text.

Note: To hide the star rating field and to prevent users from leaving star ratings, head into the plugin Settings Page and toggle ‘Star Ratings‘ to ‘disabled‘.

Testimonial Fade Slider Widget
Along with the array of shortcodes provided to display your testimonials within content, you also have the ability to display testimonials in the sidebars of your site using our built in widgets. The widgets provide a simple method for displaying your testimonials in an attractive way, and will seamlessly integrate with your theme.
To use the fade slider widget, from the dashboard You’ll want to head into ‘Appearance > Widgets’. You can find the ‘Testimonial Fade Slider Widget’ among the other widgets in the left hand column. see below
You can click and drag the widget into one of your sidebars, or you can click the widget one time to reveal a dropdown of available areas to add this widget to.
Once added to a sidebar, you can play around with some of the settings to get the look desired.
Settings
- Title – The title is the set of text that will display in the sidebar above your testimonials.
- Clients/Products – Select a client or product who’s testimonials you’d like to display in the sidebar. To retrieve all of your testimonials, set to ‘All Clients’/’All Products’.
- Number of Testimonials to Display – Limit the number of testimonials displayed in the sidebar by the number set here.
- Animation Type – Set the type of animation for this slider. Options are Fade and Slide.
- Hide Controls – Toggle the visibility of the left and right slider navigation controls.
- Automatic – Set this slide to transition between testimonials automatically.
Testimonial List Widget
